Overview
WaveEditor is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our service.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and password (hashed) when you sign up.
- OAuth identifiers: if you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, name, email, and profile picture URL.
- Usage information: license-key validation logs (timestamp, domain, IP address, allow/deny outcome) to detect abuse and bill plan usage.
- Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies for authentication and CSRF protection.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the WaveEditor service.
- To authenticate you and protect your account.
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
Information sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate WaveEditor (hosting, email delivery, payment processing) and only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Validation logs are retained for 90 days. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us — soft-deleted accounts revoke their license keys immediately.
Your rights
You can access, update, or delete your account information at any time from your portal. To request a full export or deletion of your data, contact us at privacy@waveeditor.com.
